Tornado Roof Rebuild in Neenah WI - From Tarps to Done

When the tornado tore through the Fox Valley, this Neenah home took a direct hit. Shingles ripped off, decking exposed, soffit and fascia framing blown out. The first thing we did was get tarps down fast - because every hour without protection means water getting in and a much bigger problem on your hands.

Once the home was protected, we started pulling back the damage to see what we were really working with. The soffit and fascia framing had to come out completely and get rebuilt from scratch. New lumber, new structure - done right so everything above it would actually have something solid to sit on. This is the part most homeowners don't see, but it's the part that matters most.

We replaced the roof decking where it was compromised, then handled the flat section with a full EPDM membrane install. EPDM is a rubber roofing system that holds up well on low-slope areas - it seals tight and doesn't need the same kind of maintenance as other flat roof options. Getting that section right was just as important as the shingle work.

For the main roof, we went with Malarkey Vista in Storm Grey. Class 4 impact rated - the highest rating available for shingles. That matters in Wisconsin, where hail and high winds are a real threat every single year. This isn't a roof that's just going to look good. It's built to take a beating and keep doing its job.
