This one had some history under it. We tore off two full layers of old shingles before a single new one went down. That matters more than most people realize - stacking shingles on top of worn-out material hides problems and adds unnecessary weight. Starting clean is the only way to do the job right.

We went with Atlas shingles in Hearth Stone for this home in Tomah. It's a solid architectural shingle with a mixed gray tone that works really well on a low-slope residential roof like this one. The color has enough depth to it that it doesn't read as flat or boring - it actually adds some character to the exterior.

The crew started first thing in the morning and had everything wrapped up by 3:00 PM. Full tear-off, new install, cleaned up - all in one day. A big storm was rolling in and we weren't going to leave this homeowner exposed. That's just not how we operate.

Timing a job like this takes coordination. The whole point of a one-day roof replacement is making sure the home is never left vulnerable overnight. When the weather is unpredictable, moving fast and clean isn't a bonus - it's the standard we hold ourselves to on every shingle roofing job we take on.

The ridge line runs straight, the shingles are laid tight, and the finished product holds up under a close look. No shortcuts on the details. That's what a roof replacement is supposed to look like when it's done correctly.
